Smashed Starbucks in Soho

Protestors from a rally against Israeli military actions in Gaza last Saturday "smashed and looted" two Starbucks in London because of rumors on the internet that the US coffee chain donates funds to Israel - an accusation  it strongly denies.

Here is a picture I took with my iPhone as I walked past one of the ransacked Starbucks on Shaftsbury Ave in Soho. A big, largely confused crowd had gathered outside the store while the police were conducting their investigations inside. The sign advertising some new coffee flavour/product in the window now seems quite ironic with the pieces of broken cups in the foreground,

"Creat your moment of goodness."

This is what I learned yesterday from Obama's inauguration address: he said, your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. It's not just for the leaders, it is for everybody.

I am quite fond of Obama now, though I was strongly against him back then. I do hope he can keep working hard, having wise people around him and listen well. This is a critical time and we need a true leader.

Obama definitely has recruited WISER men, at least for his economic team.
